Privacy notice

In plain terms: this website sets no cookies, runs no advertising or cross-site trackers, and loads its fonts and scripts from its own server, apart from our cookieless analytics. The only personal data it handles is what you choose to send us: a waitlist submission or an email. We use that solely to contact you about Versidian, we never sell it, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.

What this notice covers — and what it doesn't

This notice covers this website only. The Versidian verification service is pre-launch; when it launches, it will carry its own privacy notice describing exactly what the service processes and retains. Statements on this site about how the service is designed are descriptions of the product's architecture, not part of this website notice. For the commitments the service itself is being built against, see our privacy principles.

What we collect

Waitlist submissions. If you join the waitlist, we receive the email address you enter, which side you selected ("for a platform" / "for myself"), your platform's web address if you choose to give one, anything you write in the optional message, whether you ticked the box asking for development updates, and basic page context stored with your entry — the referring site and any campaign tags (utm parameters) in the link that brought you here. We use that context only to understand which channels our waitlist comes from. Nothing else in the form is collected.
Email you send us. If you email us directly, we receive your address and the contents of your message.
Technical hosting data. This site is served as static files by GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc.). Like any web host, GitHub may process visitors' IP addresses and standard request logs to deliver and secure the service, as described in GitHub's privacy statement. We do not receive or access these logs.

This site uses no cookies, no local storage, no fingerprinting, and no advertising or social-media trackers. Fonts and site scripts are self-hosted; when you load the page, the only request it makes to a third party is to our analytics provider, described below. Submitting the waitlist form posts to Zoho, as described above.

Analytics

We use Plausible Analytics, a cookieless, privacy-focused service hosted in the European Union, to count page views in aggregate. It sets no cookies, stores no persistent identifiers, and does not track visitors across other sites. Technical data (such as IP address) is processed transiently to derive aggregate counts and is not retained in a form that identifies you. Plausible acts as our processor.

Alongside page views we record a small number of aggregate events — for example that the waitlist form was submitted, whether the submission was confirmed, which side was selected, and which page was requested when someone reaches a "not found" page. These are counts only, with no identifiers attached, and cannot be traced back to an individual visitor.

Why we use it, and on what legal basis

Waitlist contact. We use waitlist data to contact you about Versidian early access, demonstrations, and launch. Legal basis where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies: your consent (Article 6(1)(a)), given when you submit the form. You can withdraw it at any time.
Development updates. Only if you tick the optional box, we will also send occasional updates on how the product is progressing. This is separate from joining the waitlist — leave the box unticked and you still hear from us about early access, just not about anything else. Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a)), withdrawable at any time and in every message we send.
Answering you. If you write to us, we use your message to respond. Legal basis: our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)) in corresponding with people who contact us.
Serving the site securely. Technical hosting data is processed to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)).

We do not use your data for advertising, we do not sell or rent it, and we do not carry out profiling or automated decision-making about you.

Who processes it for us

Zoho — operates the form that receives waitlist submissions, as our processor.
Plausible Analytics — provides the cookieless analytics described above, as our processor, on servers in the European Union.
GitHub, Inc. — hosts and serves this static site.
Our email provider — handles mail sent to and from our addresses.

These providers process data on our behalf under their own contractual and privacy commitments. We share personal data with no one else, unless we are required to by law or valid legal process, in which case we will disclose only what we are required to.

International transfers

Versidian is a US company, and the providers above may process data in the United States and other countries. Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies to a transfer, it takes place under recognized safeguards — such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework (for participating providers) or Standard Contractual Clauses — as set out in each provider's own data-protection documentation.

How long we keep it

Waitlist data — kept until we have completed early-access and launch outreach, or until you ask us to remove you, whichever comes first. We periodically delete entries that are no longer needed.
Correspondence — kept as long as needed to handle the matter you wrote about and for reasonable record-keeping.

Your rights

Depending on where you live — and in the EU/EEA and UK in particular — you have the right to ask us for access to your personal data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, portability, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing rests on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time, with effect going forward.

To exercise any of these rights, email Inquiries@Versidian.com from the address concerned (or with enough information for us to verify the request). We respond within the timelines the applicable law sets. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection supervisory authority.

Children

This website is general-audience marketing for infrastructure and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16; if you believe a child has submitted data to us, email us and we will delete it.

Changes to this notice

If we change this notice, we will post the updated version here with a new "last updated" date. If a change materially affects how we use data you have already given us, we will contact you before it applies.
